Founding Partners
Adriana Jassan
Co-Founder
Lawyer with master's degrees in Business Administration, Intellectual Property and Data Privacy Law. These are three disciplines that are rarely found together in a single person; and, when they are, they completely change the conversation.
Throughout her career, she has guided businesses through their growing process: from legal structuring to the protection of a company’s most valuable assets - its data and its intellectual property.
With a vision that bridges the legal and strategic spheres, she never loses sight of the fact that behind every legal decision stands a business that needs to keep moving forward.
At Pontial, she leads strategic development, accompanying founders who are considering expanding into Europe, with structures that not only enable them to enter the market but also to scale up solidly from day one.
Eliana Ribes
Co-Founder
Human Resources degree, with a Master’s in People Management. A combination that goes beyond the organizational level: it is the ability to analyze a company from the inside, understand what its people need, and translate that into its structure.
She has worked with large companies, guiding growth processes, team development and the evaluation of training needs. She has designed and implemented bespoke training programs, not generic training, but interventions built on a thorough assessment, focusing on what truly drives an organization forward.
At Pontial, she brings that same perspective to her work with Latin American founders. She coordinates the client experience, supports teams as they adapt to new markets, and builds the long-term relationships that turn expansion into more than just a geographical shift – it becomes real, tangible growth.

About us
Expansion into Europe begins long before we arrive.
Based in Lisbon, Portugal, we help Latin American founders to understand the European ecosystem, define their market entry strategy and connect with local experts to implement their international expansion.
Expanding into Europe means making decisions that cannot easily be undone: where to set up, how to structure the business and when to move forward.
We work with each company to map out the right course of action before mistakes become costly. We define the strategy and bring together the specialists needed to implement it effectively.
What are the challenges of expanding into the European market?
Unfamiliarity with the European market
Each European market has its own rules, consumer habits and regulatory frameworks.
Legal and tax complexity
Legal and tax frameworks in Europe differ significantly from Latin America.
High-impact migration decisions
Visas, residencies and work permits are processes that define the pace of expansion.
Lack of a reliable local network
Operating effectively requires relationships with trusted local suppliers, partners and experts.

Self-assessment
5 Questions before expanding to Europe
Before making the big move, there are several decisions to be made that will determine the success of an international expansion. Answer these questions to assess whether your business is ready to enter the European market.
1.Is your product already performing consistently in more than one market or segment?
2.Can you sustain 12–18 months of operations in Europe without depending on immediate income?
3.Are you clear about why Europe is strategically important (and not just attractive)?
4.Can your team operate internationally without depending on the founder for every decision?
5.Are you prepared to adapt your business model (product, pricing, go-to-market) to the European market?
